Our timber frame Covered Walking Bridges are works of art that need to be seen to be appreciated. The handcrafted mortise and tenon joints are a reminder of a fading art. This is Rainbow Bridge a unique structure we created in Sherburne, New York. It is the inspiration for our company, Rainbow Bridge Company.
We design and manufacture custom, handcrafted Covered Walking Bridges and Covered Handicap Ramps. They are designed for foot and light traffic.
We take the time to help you design and build your project. Preparing for your bridge could be as simple as a few pilings or as complex as poured concrete abutments or retaining walls and hoisting with the appropriate crane.
As each individual and setting is unique, your bridge possibilities will vary. The truss design allows for the shortest span of ten feet and graduating in increments of ten. Artwork and other features may be changed or added to suit your style.
Our Covered Walking Bridges would accent golf courses, walking and hiking trails, streams or gorges, national or community parks...just to name a few. We invite residential and commercial customers alike. We work closely with those who share a passion for covered bridges. Your design is never a job to us, we think of every bridge as an exciting new experience! Let us work with you to make your bridge dreams come true.

WE CARE ABOUT OUR ENVIRONMENT!
This is certainly a decision to be made by the buyer but we feel compelled to expresses our opinion.
Because most of our bridges are installed over streams and other waterways, we do not apply or promote the application of wood treatments or preservants. Not only would this add maintenance to your investment and potentially harm aquatic life; many products which claim to be 'environmentally friendly' often contain a soluble copper compound which is harmful to marine life.
To avoid these issues, we construct our bridges from oversized timbers and extend the eaves beyond normal building specifications to provide more protection from mother nature's elements.
Should you be more fond of a treated wooden bridge, we would gladly apply the first coat before we begin production.
